Simply, the charges for my services are based on how much work is required for your inspection. The base fee is correlated to the size [square feet] of living area. I do charge extra for inspections such as swimming pools, detached outbuildings, etc. You are never obligated to have me inspect those items; my report would reflect that you asked me not to inspect them. I also charge an additional fee for inspecting homes older than 30 years. My experience indicates that such homes always mean additional work for me, regardless of good condition.

In order to know exactly what my inspection will cost, you may 1) call me for an estimate or 2) go on-line to the 24-7 Scheduler to book an appointment or automatically generate an estimate based on your property’s attributes.

You’ve heard the expression, “In the beginning there is the price; in the end there is the cost.” I’d like to suggest that if you select a home inspection based on price alone, may well get what you pay for. I have an analogy that may help illustrate that. Let’s say that a typical home in our area is selling for $350,000 [approximately true]. And let’s say you can buy a used car here for $3,500 [approximately true]. My fee will be about one TENTH of 1% of the price of the home. That would be parallel to paying a qualified mechanic about $ 3.50 to thoroughly review your used car prior to buying it. Would that be a bargain or what! Now suppose that you had two mechanics in mind who each bid for the opportunity to review your proposed used car purchase. One charges $ 3.50 and the other charges $ 4.00. Which one will you choose? I hope you will choose the one who instills in you the confidence that they will do the better job. And if it costs you an extra 50¢, you will feel that you made a wise decision, right? That’s my point. I am not the cheapest Home Inspector in this area. I am also not the most expensive. But I believe that I’m one of the best qualified to help you assess the condition of the home you are proposing to buy. I hope you take that into account when you select your Home Inspector.

I hope to hear from you.
